The FY2026 filing window for the Rural Health Care (RHC) Program’s Healthcare Connect Fund (HCF) officially closed on April 1, 2026, at 11:59PM ET.
If your funding request was submitted, there’s nothing you need to do right now. Our team will manage the next steps and reach out if anything is needed.
If you missed the deadline, this is still a good time to start preparing for the next funding cycle.

What Happens Next?
Now that the filing window has closed, your application moves into the review phase. Here’s what to expect:
- Funding Request Review & Follow-Up: The Universal Service Administrative Co. (USAC) will review submitted funding requests and may reach out with questions or requests for clarification. Our team handles these communications on your behalf, so you don’t have to manage back-and-forth with USAC.
- Additional Information (If Needed): In some cases, additional details may be required. If that happens, we’ll coordinate directly with you or your vendor to guide you through exactly what’s needed.
- Timeline Expectations: The review process can take several months depending on the complexity of the request. While timelines vary, you can expect updates via HCN Connect as your application progresses.
- Funding Decisions & Updates: As decisions are made, your status will be updated in HCN Connect. Anyone with access to your organization’s portal will automatically receive email notifications, so there’s no need to check manually.
Our FY2026 Impact
In the final days leading up to the deadline, our team worked around the clock to support healthcare organizations across the country. Together, we submitted:
- $37 million in funding requests
- 2,750+ healthcare sites supported
- Across 27 states
We’ve guided thousands of healthcare sites through this process, helping organizations secure funding and build more reliable, cost-effective networks.
