Welcome to the new year! I hope it is one that offers hope, goodwill, and kindness to all. As 2025 came to an end, I got to represent CTC at an event celebrating our managing agent, Jim Rogers and his company ProInfoNet, reaching the milestone of 30 years in business. ProInfoNet was the original company and springboard for Jim’s company HealthConnect Networks that supports CTC. Jim began ProInfoNet in December 1995 in his home. His vision, drive, determination, and hard work built a very successful and valuable organization providing solid consulting in the planning, design, and implementation of telecommunications services. His work has positively impacted a wide variety of organizations across the country! CTC extends a hearty congratulations and happy 30th anniversary to Jim and his team.
For the 2025 Fiscal Year (7/1/25 to 6/30/26), CTC has submitted 125 funding requests to the Universal Services Administrative Company (USAC), the company that administers the Healthcare Connect Fund (HCF) for the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). Those requests seek over $4,950,000 in subsidies for some of the over 1,000 health care providers in 16 different states. Through November 2025, 64 funding commitment letters (FCLs) had been received for a total of $870,000. Over 55 funding requests remain outstanding for the remaining requested funding. Hopefully, FCLs will be received over the next several months for the remaining funds.
There have been 166 sites added to CTC subsidy processing since July 1, 2025, bringing the total number of sites to 1,250. An additional 10 sites have expressed interest in working with CTC to obtain HCF subsidies.
As reported previously, in Fiscal Year 2024 (July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025), CTC received 105 FCLs from USAC capturing $4,906,000!
CTC submitted its first funding requests in 2015. In the past 9 years, CTC has successfully captured a total of over $24,343,000 in subsidies for its participating sites. A significant financial reduction in telecommunications costs for healthcare providers.
CTC and its managing agent, ProInfoNet, continued to strive to deliver value, dependability, and quality service. We are honored to be your partner in obtaining Healthcare Connect Fund (HCF) subsidies. Thank you for your continued support of CTC.
My thanks to the CTC Board members for their continued guidance, and service; Red Hutchinson, retired, LRG Healthcare, NH; David Valcik, retired, Northern Light Health, ME; Rick Cowan, Optum, Northern Light Health, ME; and Tim Smith, retired, ME.
Brian Thibeau, President of CTC
